Global Elite Designed Sanctions to Impoverish Iran

Omid Memarian, writing for IPS, warns that sanctions recently imposed on Iran by the United Nations and the United States will adversely impact that country’s middle class. “Although the United States and its allies insist that the latest round of U.N. sanctions against Iran targets high-level government officials rather than the general population, interviews with a number of analysts, activists and journalists in Tehran reveal a growing concern over the impact on the country’s middle class,” Memarian writes.

On July 2, Obama imposed new sanctions on Iran.

German–Iranian political scientist Ali Fathollah-Nejad documents how “smart sanctions” are punishing Iran’s population at large and not its insulated leadership. “Sanctions – either ‘crippling’ or ’smart’ — ultimately harm ordinary citizens. ‘Smart sanctions’ is as much of an oxymoron as ’smart weapons’ which supposedly by ’surgical strikes’ only take out evil components. Indeed, much as in the case of their militaristic brothers-in-spirit, in the end the ‘collateral damages’ of ’smart sanctions’ remain dominant,” writes Fathollah-Nejad.

In August of 2009, author and Hagop Kevorkian Professor of Iranian Studies and Comparative Literature at Columbia University, Hamid Dabashi, stated the obvious when he responded to the calls by the usual cast of rabid neocons — from the Hoover Institution, the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, the the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, and the American Enterprise Institute (all played key roles in the invasion of Iraq) — for more severe sanctions.

“From imposing ‘crippling sanctions’ to initiating ‘covert operations,’ all the way down to military attack by Israel and/or the United States amounts to a familiar scenario that has a very simple and coded antecedent in modern Iranian political culture: the CIA-engineered coup d’état of 1953, for which President Obama apologized during his speech at Cairo University in June 2009,” writes Dabashi. “Contrary to the vision and wisdom of the president, the political machinations of the U.S. Congress and the flawed advice offered by this group of panelists amount to a belligerent threat against the regime. That will exacerbate its self-righteous warring posture and have chilling consequences for the grass-roots civil rights movement inside Iran.”

In fact, as Paul Craig Roberts has noted, support for the “grass-roots civil rights movement inside Iran” has come primarily from the CIA. “The protests in Tehran [in 2009] no doubt have many sincere participants. The protests also have the hallmarks of the CIA orchestrated protests in Georgia and Ukraine. It requires total blindness not to see this,” writes Roberts. If Mir-Hossein Mousavi had succeeded in winning the election last year — an election accompanied by CIA orchestrated demonstrations — he “would have privatized the oil sector and brought back the Monarchy. The son of the former Shah, Reza Cyrus Pahlavi, would have ascended to the throne” once occupied by his father, notes French journalist Thierry Meyssan.

The globalist establishment, including the neocon faction, understand that political demonstrations, color revolutions, and CIA directed bombing and assassination campaigns inside Iran will not overthrow the government and lead to the re-installment of the Shah or some other regime amenable to their agenda. Instead of an effort to foment a coup or a highly unlikely uprising on the part of the Iranian people, sanctions and covert warfare inside Iran are designed to create social and political tension.

In May, Rep. Ron Paul characterized the sanctions as an act of war.

In order to understand what the elite have in mind for Iran, consider the sanctions imposed on Iraq. The near-total financial and trade embargo imposed by the United Nations Security Council against Iraq — at the behest of the United States — following Saddam Hussein’s invasion of Kuwait in response to that country’s slant drilling of Iraqi oil was not intended to force Iraq to withdraw from Kuwait or even, as later insisted, to punish Iraq for its supposed weapons of mass destruction program. The sanctions were designed to completely destroy Iraq as a political, social, and cultural entity. The plan was to turn Iraq into yet another obedient and impoverished New World Order client state and destroy Saddam Hussein’s flirtation with Arab nationalism — the pan-Arab nationalism of Gamal Abdel Nasser in Egypt profoundly influenced young Ba’athists like Saddam — and put to rest once and for all his dream of becoming the modern Nebuchadnezzar of the Arab world.

“Seven years of the most comprehensive sanctions in modern history have reduced Iraq and its people to utter destitution,” Rick McDowell wrote in 1997, six years before the sanctions were supposedly lifted during the second U.S. invasion of the country. “To date, more children have died in Iraq than the combined toll of two atomic bombs on Japan and the ethnic cleansing of former Yugoslavia. The UN’s Department of Humanitarian Affairs reports that Iraq’s public health services are nearing a total breakdown from a lack of basic medicines, life-saving drugs, and essential medical supplies. Hoskins’ research reveals nothing less than a full frontal assault on Iraq — radically increased morbidity and mortality, rampant infectious disease and epidemics, widespread malnutrition, a population-wide reduction in general health status, a significant reduction in available medicines, curtailed food imports and agricultural production, and deterioration in water quantity and quality (as Thomas J. Nagy of George Washington University documented in 2001, the Pentagon intentionally used sanctions to degrade Iraq’s water supply).

As Joy Gordon wrote in 1999 (Sanctions as Siege Warfare), “sanctions appeared to be a nearly ideal device for international governance.” More specifically, sanctions serve as an ideal device to destroy a targeted country — in the case of Iraq, following a devastating military campaign — and open it up to globalist domination.

This pattern is now repeating itself in the concerted effort by the United States and the United Nations against Iran, albeit without a military campaign to increase the severity of sanctions. It appears, however, that the U.S. and Israel are setting the stage for just such a military campaign. Iran’s fledgling nuclear program will serve as the excuse for an attack in much the same way Saddam Hussein’s non-existent WMDs served as an excuse to re-invade and further decimate Iraq in early 2003.

Iran, like Iraq before it, is much too proud and independent for the global elite. They are determined to reduce the last few remaining bastions outside their bankster economic control to smoldering ruins. In order to do this they must contrive a plausible excuse and hype a threat that does not exist.

As for Iran, it’s best strategy is to join Russia. Become a state in Russia with provisions of living it someday. Make a deal with Putin. You join Russia, and Russia will build you a few channels (from it’s vast yearly spring run off) that will flood your deserts and make a few seas. Here’s a reality check for you. God is REAL and there are very real mechanisms of human behavior that are being abused by the archetypal forces known as Satan. Satan operates through Dogma and fear. All of Satan’s dogma distracts you and I from the living reality of God. There is only one absolute. Kid Wiz, your on the riht track. the problem is that many people who are aware of whats oin on are pointin their fingers at the church as well. The film Zeitgeist, for example, is what woke me up the the truth about the wealthy elite. But almost the entire first part of the film is designed to discredit the bible, and attempt to disprove the very existence of Jesus Christ.
They pointed out similiarities between the Jesus, and saviors in other religions, saying the new testament was a forgery of previus religions, all based on astronomy.
These guys are trying to use the very stars, and astrological formations that God created as proof that he doesn’t exist. It’s as shollow and narrow sighted as saying the bible is proof of God becuase the bible is the word of God….
Yes, there are TONS of parrallels in nearly every religion. Why? Consider the story of the tower of Babel.
After the Great flood, all man spoke the same language, as they were all decendants of Noah and his family. These people decided that they should built a tower to reach into the heavens. God struck the tower down, because in his eyes, they were trying to cheat their way into heaven. He made them speak different languages, and they went their seperate ways.
Lets put aside some of the literal wording of the story, and think metaphor for a bit.
The religions of Christianity, Muslim, Judaism, and several others all share many of the core beleifs, and have many similar stories.
My thinking is this… Is it possible that along with seperate languages, God aloud these other religions to sort of pop up. He would allow minor, and insignifacant differences into each one, while ensuring that the true divine message remaind intact. Why would he do this?
To teach us something. We are all, no matter where we are from, God’s children, whether we call him God, or Allah means nothing. It’s like bickering of the differences in a ford taurus, and a mercury sable.
As God’s children, we must work together for the betterment of all man kind.
Or differences are utterly meaningless in face of the evil that looms over us all. The only way to endure is to learn the ultimate lesson, and unite as one. We can have our seperate religions. We must. the religion that we follow is just as important to us as the sovereinty of our individual nations. They reflect who we are.
On the surface.
underneath it all, we are one. We must act as one. For the greater good of humanity. To ensure that God’s beloved children do not perish.

Actually, Jesus Christ did not ever exist. It’s true. He was created in the council of Nicea in the year 325 CE (Common Era). The reason that Jesus resembles the Gods of other spiritual systems is that he was modeled after them. Specifically the Kemetic (Egyptian) spiritual system. Google the Council of Nicea and see what you come up with. Then google “A surfeit of Jesuses but no Jesus of Nazareth” and see what you come up with.

The Kemetic spiritual system sustained the world for more than 140,000 years but people like Hamed would say that the Egyptians were just evil Godless people. It’s not true, what you’re being taught in your religions are lies.

Sanctions are nothing but a cruel tool the elite use to weaken their enemy before the final assault. It’s a joke. You can bet we will be attacking soon as the sanctions have begun and they are getting harsher. MSM still is telling us that Iran wants a nuke and that would threaten Israel who maintains the right to “protect herself” (Netanyahu on Larry King Wed nite). MSM also contends Iran could have a nuke within a year or two. That tells me a war is right around the coner. Iran is NOT caving or they would’ve already. Sanctions weaken the infastructure making military attack easier and the people of a nation angry with their leaders who they view as still living in luxury while they starve. Actually, when we sanction a country, we are pretty much saying we are gonna attack you when we’ve ensured you are weak enough to possibly take down and set up a s—ty puppet government.

Sarah, It’s always the citizenry that hurt from sanctions. Sanctions are what Jews do when they want something like land or government takeovers. The very powerful Jewish world economic machine placed sanctions upon the starving people of Germany in 1933; basically it was a Jewish declaration of war upon the Germans. This was the beginning of the harsh treatment of Jews by European countries in general. Germany was an economic hub for Europe and other European countries suffered because of the Jewish boycott of Germany. Various countries of Europe began to expel Jewish people and place them in prison camps along with other political undesirables. The end result was that Germany gained in strength and became a very powerful military entity. Finally the Jewish community helped to push the USA to fight Germany. Germany asked Jews to leave Germany after the Jews placed the sanctions upon Germany but most did not have wherewithal to leave. However the Zionists and more wealthy type Jews escaped to the USA, UK, and other places. Now the Jews are placing sanctions upon Iran because Iran can fight back when the Jews try to take their land or push them around in other ways. Unlike the Arabs the Iranians can return fire to the Jews in the Middle East therefore the Jews have enlisted their puppet USA to do the dirty work. All we can do now is wait and hope that Iran can withstand and grow stronger. In many ways the tyranny of Israel and its puppet will never die unless Iran and others can push back and thrive. how about we make up for the sanctions in exports of goods that are not military in nature? how about we allow farmers to export food there or we produce clothing for them and basic goods? maybe then they wouldn’t want to bomb us. this is a violent cycle. I think it is a matter of time before Iran is bombed and this could mean that Iran will declare war on Afghanistan and Iraq and try to start new Civil Wars there. I dont know if you someone pissed in your wheaties during the day, but I was saying to myself wow, this is really hating on some people. You were right in the above comment when that person said ignore the message. That kind of pissed me off someone telling us to ignore. Its our god given right to read or speak and react to something as we so chose. Now if we over react we reap the precussions of the law and the wrath of god. im a god fearing person myself. I dont go to the church, but I give thanks for every meal, and I pray at night and when Im in the shower.

I interpatate a shower being an everyday baptism. You get baptised in water to do away with sin, which is dirty. Just like with a shower, you use water to wash away the dirt from your body, why cant it be your soul everyday to.

I pray that you may find your way back to god n jesus. I read you said you use to be all caught up with the church thing. You dont have to go to church every sunday to be right with god.
